Administrator account -- How can you make it list for login

I added an account to a pc and now when I logout it does not list the
Administrator account to login to as an option. Is there a registry key that
I can change so that the Administator account is listed during login ? I
have several other pc's that I have done this to but have not had this
problem. I know that it's not recommended to use the administrator account
but they have been using it a long time and I don't want to change them to
another account.

First off - change them to another account. Use the Files and Settings
Transfer wizard and export from one profile into a new profile. It would be
unwise not to.

Second - use TweakUI to choose who is and is not shown on the Welcome screen
logon - assuming this is Windows XP Professional or superset.

Try Power Toy's Tweak UI from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
Install, run and under Logon you will find check boxes to select the
accounts you want displayed and in the Autologon you can choose to
Enable/Disable it by Checking or un-checking the 'Logon automatically'
option.

TweakUI is a very useful tool and is relatively safe for most users as they
don't need to use the registry editor or other less obvious methods to make
changes to Windows.

Thank you -- I have used Tweak UI but did not realize it had that option.
That worked great ! Thanks again.

Or you can enable secure logon by typing control userpasswords2 and
when you login again then you can type in the name of user as
administrator and login as the administrator.

Yes, there is.

Enable/Disable Administrator on Welcome Screen (Line 5)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Note:

If you have disabled the built in administrator account, booting into
Safe Mode will automatically enable it again (temporarily, for that
Safe Mode session).

Added note: If you want to logon to one of the other users, hold down shift
as the system boots up.

Boot into Safe Mode (tap F8 repeatedly early in the computer/Windows
startup process)

If no user logon appears in Safe Mode where you can type in the
user account name "Administrator" (or click on it), press
Ctrl+Alt+Del twice.
