Administering a test in Excel

Hi to all,

I am trying to administer a test to some students. I have a workboo
with the questions and options ( I still don't have it but am prett
confident I can make one ) taking the responses from students usin
radiobuttons (for multiple choice) and checkboxes (for multiple answe
qns).

The problem is I have to make a workbook later on with the results o
all these students and evaluate them. Is there any way to put all thei
results in some text file (or xls file) on a server?

Please help. I have to convince my boss that this can be done in exce
or I will have to learn web programming - something that I am totall
unfamiliar with.

Thanks a lot for your patient reading.

Regards,

Maybe you can link each optionbutton (grouped??) and checkbox to a cell on
another sheet.

Have the user's name in column A, the question in Column B, the responses in
C:IV and then just copy|paste these into one giant workbook.

Do your summaries from there.

Hi Dave,

Thanks. How do I link these option buttons to another workbook that i
not on the same computer? Is it possbile?

I wouldn't link them to another workbook. I'd link them to a hidden worksheet
in the same workbook.

Then give them a button(?) that would copy that sheet to a new workbook and save
it to a nice location.

Then after you get all those workbooks, you can assemble one giant workbook with
a single worksheet that contains all that data.
