Admin Permissions

I am the Admin & can log in as the admin & do a compact & repair. I want to
give my users permission to compact & repair also. I understand that I need
to grant them Open Exlusive rights.

When I do that it tells me that I don't have permission to do that; yet I'm
logged in as the Admin. When I check the permissions for the ADMINS GROUP,
it doesn't have any permissions selected under the "DATABASE" object types.
I thought Admins defaulted to having all rights & permissions.

What can I do to fix this?

Apparently user level security has been set up correctly, which is why Admin
and Admins do not have any permission.

Please check which groups you are a member of in Tools | Security | User and
Group Accounts. You can then find out the permissions associated with the
specific group in Tools | Security | User and Group Permissions.
