adjust for best performance setting no work

hi mr/mrs,
i have problem about windows xp pro eng about performance setting.
my pc:
1.i am install windows xp pro sp 2 eng and windows multi-languague
2. join domain then create user profile eg.jason is administraor.so,windows
log in:jason
3. i have go to my computer (right click)->select properties ->select
advanced > -- -performance-->click setting -->check adjust for best
performance-click apply-->ok
4. but i view my internet explore,my windows no change anyting
why?

please help

Because those settings are not related to Internet Explorer. It's for
the Windows Desktop.
