AddressLayout Bug in Word 2003

Has there ever been a fix for the AddressLayout bug described in KB Article
292127 (If you use Tools, Letters & Mailings, Envelopes & Labels, Word 2003
ignores whatever you have so carefully set up in AddressLayout) or are we
still stuck with cutting and pasting? This is my AddressLayout AutoText
entry that works fine in Word, except for being ignored in Envelopes &
Labels:

{<PR_DISPLAY_NAME>}
{{<PR_TITLE>}
}{{<PR_COMPANY_NAME>}
}{<PR_POSTAL_ADDRESS>}

You can insert whatever you want on an envelope template - see the method
for including Outlook data at http://www.gmayor.com/Macrobutton.htm and the
sample templates available for download from my web site. FWIW your syntax
is wrong (too many brackets) so it may not be surprising that it doesn't
work: Try

{<PR_DISPLAY_NAME>
}{<PR_TITLE>
}{{<PR_COMPANY_NAME>
}(<PR_POSTAL_ADDRESS>}

or

{<PR_GIVEN_NAME> <PR_SURNAME>
}{PR_TITLE>
}{<PR_COMPANY_NAME>
}{<PR_POSTAL_ADDRESS>}

Yes, there were too many brackets, yet I could not detect any difference in
the functioning of AddressLayout. As to the bug, cutting and pasting from a
letter is probably not really a problem since most envelopes will be
associated with a letter addressed to the same person. It's the cc's and
other things that are a problem.

Does Word have an envelope template or must I create my own? I will do the
MacroButton thing. You had provided a lot of help on this a while back when
I was trying to get OL data into Word documents and I remain grateful.

BTW I used your suggested AddressLayout and found that a "{" was
inadvertently replaced by a "(" .

Microsoft doesn't do such an envelope template but you can download samples
from my web site with this form of automation included. The samples are #10
size but can easily be changed to your preference.
