address webpage problems

Pete

recently I began having problems with getting to webpage
I typed in address nav bar. I will type the webpage I
want to go to but end up getting pornographic webpages
instead of webpage I entered that has nothing to do with
porn sites. I have run Norton antivirus scan on IE-6
folders & there is no virus present. What can I do to
stop these porn sites from poping up instead of web sites
I am wanting to go into? (ie, bank website, google
website, etc).

The problem is with IE6. It allows external sites to open popups or run
javascripts. After having enough of it, I just installed
MozillaFirebird, as I have mentioned in my many other posts to everybody
who is having popup problems. MozillaFirebird (if you want everything,
install MOzilla), gives me full contor over popups and many other
things. It is free. It gives tabbed browsing. It also gives me full
contorl over font size (CTRL and + keys to increas, and CTRL and - keys
to decrease):

Having to change to Mozilla is not necessary. The new Google Toolbar has a
good pop-up blocker.

Font size can be changed with a wheel mouse by Ctrl wheel up or down.
