address book gone

I lost my address book and don't know where it went. I haven't done
anything other than access a cd written in PowerPoint. It was written
by my hand therapist using her business computer. Could this have any
impact? How can I get my address book back. Any help out there?

Search your boot-drive for *.wa files/

....though you might like to sweep your machine for malware first !
