Address Bar Search

I am unable to customize my search engine in IE6.
Searching from the Address Bar uses a search provider I do
not want to use and I would like to change it. I have
tried opening the search page from the toolbar and then
clicking on customize, but it will not give me a window to
make changes. Does anyone have any idea of what I can do?

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
