Address bar locks

When I type in an address and press go, address bar locks
up, and nothing happens. the only way I can access web
pages is through search button. OS windows 2000
an anyone help?

Hi,
This may be an Autocomplete problem. Delete your History folder. Windows
will create a new one on restart.
