Address Bar-Help!

My address bar is missing from my toolbar. I tried right clicking an
open space on the toolbar,
then left-clicking address bar in the drop-down menu, it still wouldn`t
come back even though the
address bar was checked, so then I rebooted thinking it would
re-appear---it didn`t, Any help would be appreciated.

The address bar has been known to "scrunch up" so tiny that it looks like
it is not there. If this is what's happened to you, right click the toolbar
area and click the option to unlock it. When unlocked, dividers between
toolbars will be visible.

Look for two dividers that are very close together with what appears to be
nothing in between. Grab one of the dividers using the mouse/cursor to
widen the area. Hopefully you'll uncover the missing address bar.

If I understand you correctly, then try this:

In IE, goto View-->Check Status bar.

The 'Status Bar' is not for the address bar, rather it's for the spot on the
taskbar that shows the progress, or status of the page that is currently
being loaded.

Try an experiment to see what I mean. Turn the 'status' off, then click on
a link and watch the bottom of the screen, usually in the lower right corner
of the task bar,

Then turn it back on, and click on a link..you'll see the status bar move
and fill a rectangular box as the page loads.
