How do I get my address book from my old computer (XP) to my new computer
(Vista)? And, how do I stop windows mail from adding email addresses to my
address book every time I recieve a new message?

Locate the WAB-file(s) on your old computer, then copy it/them to a
temporary directory on the new one (via the LAN or a USB-stick).
You can then import the data in Winmail (contacts) voa "File | Import
...."

I've been asking this myself often enough <g>. Could not yet find a
setting :-(

1. If you used Outlook Express on XP,
copy the .wab file over to the Vista computer, and do a
File - Import - Windows Contacts - Windows Address Book file

2. Windows Mail won't automatically add addresses from received messages.
It can add addresses for sent messages.

Tools - Options - Send - [ ] Automatically put people I reply to in my
contacts
