Adding Win2000 machine to XP Home Network

Brad

I just got a new XP Pro Desktop, and want to create a
Home Office Network with my XP Pro laptop and my older
Win2000 Pro desktop.

The XP Pro Network Wizard doesn't support adding Win2000
machines to the network, but I have to believe that
there's a wait to join the Win2000 machine to the home
network.

Each of the above units are able to hit the internet via
a Linksys DSL Router, but I want to be able to file &
printer share with all computers in the network.

Can somebody tell me how to set this up?

Thanks,
Brad

The XP network wizard is not supported by win2k. Configure win2k manually
using one of the guides at:

The default network settings on XP Pro and Win2000 Pro are compatible
with each other. Specifying the same workgroup name on all computers
will make networking a little easier.

Right-click and share the desired disks and folders on each computer.
Access the other computers' shared disks and folders in My Network
Places.

Tell the XP Wizard that the computer connects to the Internet through
a residential gateway (router) -- other connection options can block
file and printer sharing.
