Adding sum of "yes"

I have a survey with a number of "yes" "no" questions and trying to simply
add the number of "Yes" in a column. Any ideas?

Don't forget/dismiss the pivot table option. It's very handy for survey
results analysis, and takes only a few seconds to set up. Assuming the col
header is: Response (where the data might comprise various response types,
eg: Yes, No, Maybe, etc). In step 3 of the pivot wizard, click Layout, then
just drag n drop Response into both the ROW and DATA areas. That's it. Hop
over to the pivot sheet (to the left), where you'd find the results: A
uniques listing of all the various response types in a col, and next to it,
the corresponding counts of each response type.

You probably missed my response. I would urge you not to pass over the pivot
table option. Check out its functionalities, see for yourself how it can
easily complement your suite of analysis & calculation options in your Excel
work. I use both pivots and formulas daily.
