Adding photos to a database by the user

I know Ive asked this before but I never got a reply, maybe I wasnt wording
it correctly. We take pictures of items that need corrected on a regular
basis. We keep them in folders by date. We keep the data in a database
elsewhere, Im trying to be able to add a picture of the item to a report in
concert with the data. Is there anyway to set up a form that would allow the
average user to be able to link a photo up to its respective record and then
show it on a report? Something like a "find" button that would have them
search for the photos they uploaded off the camera and then keep that
information in a field in the table.

The sample in the following reference should be a good starting point for
what you want to do. If you'd Googled on "images in Access" at
http://groups.google.com, I suspect you'd have found this same reference in
response to many similar questions. For good suggestions on effective use
of newsgroups, see the FAQ at http://www.mvps.org/access/netiquette.htm.

The sample imaging databases at http://accdevel.tripod.com illustrate three
approaches to handling images in Access, and the download includes an
article discussing considerations in choosing an approach. Two of the
approaches do not use OLE Objects and, thus, avoid the database bloat, and
some other problems, associated with images in OLE Objects.

If you are printing the images in reports, to avoid memory leakage, you
should also see MVP Stephen Lebans' http://www.lebans.com/printfailures.htm.
PrintFailure.zip is an Access97 MDB containing a report that fails during
the Access formatting process prior to being spooled to the Printer Driver.
This MDB also contains code showing how to convert the contents of the Image
control to a Bitmap file prior to printing. This helps alleviate the "Out of
Memory" error that can popup when printing image intensive reports.
