adding music to photo story 3

Hi
I am creating my first PS 3 project. The finished project will be a DVD
including approx 5 different songs and pics for my daughter for graduation.
2 years ago I did the same for my oldest. I located the music, the pics and
spent hours on the exact timing to words, using very specific personal songs.
I decided this year that I should be able to do this myself. I've edited my
pics and also moved them into photostory. Relatively simple until I tried to
put my first purchased song in. I have read every post I can find as well as
messages and tips from papajohn website and google groups. I purchased music
from msn music. I emailed it to myself, put it on a flash drive, burnt to a
cd, tried literally everything I saw on the suggestions. Each and everytime
it gave me an error message. I even downloaded it from MSN a second time. I
am so frustrated and do not know where to turn. Must have completed by this
weekend.

It helps to supply the exact error messages/numbers and the details of
the file types used. We don't know what tips you've read either so that
reaaally doesn't get us any further.

You will have trouble using protected files (usually those bought from
online stores) in any other file presentation.

Now when you say "burnt to a CD" did you burn to an AUDIO CD and then
RIP it back as an unprotected file? You can't just copy them to a DATA
CD and copy them back.

Thank you.
I contacted MSN tech support. They told me that Photo Story 3 and Movie
Maker do not accept ANY commercially available digital music. I was told to
burn my purchased music to CD, rip in MP3 format and then load into Photo
Story. It worked. I cannot believe that in all the searching I did this was
not mentioned. Why wouldn't it be stated in Photo Story itself. Very very
frustrating.
The tech gal was very kind and helpful and apologized stating that it is
hoped that future versions will allow.
