Adding items to a shortcut menus via VBA

Would someone please point me in the right direction
before I start tearing my hair out! I have a custom
ShortCutMenu that has a couple of fixed items that
run functions in the code behind the form.
I would like to programmatically add new items to
the list. What should I be looking at to do this?
Is it CommandBarControls ? If so I'm not having
much luck. Is there a good write up on the web
somewhere as I'm struggling with the help.
