Adding distribution points

I am now going to begin installing software with Active Directory. I was
told you should setup multiple distribution points so I do not tax the
network. How do I set multiple distribution points for software installs?
Do I setup multiple software installations in one GPO each pointing to a
different install point, or do I have different GPO's for each location that
installs the software from a location that is closest to the computers in
that OU? Thanks

I would highly recommend using DFS to distribute your packages and also to
shield them from future physical server moves. You also get the benefit that
DFS has site-affinity, which means if you create regional replicas, your
clients will prefer replicas of the packages in their local sites.

You can't handle different dist points in GPO.
You would need to create one GPO for each dist point.

Even better, get another program for it ;-)
