Adding Child Domain

Jake

I have two seperate AD domains in our school district and
I want to make one of the domains a child domain and make
it part of our main office forest. Is there a good way
to do this?

You can only create/break the child parent relationship by running dcpromo.
You would have to run dcpromo on one of the domains (you will loose all
user/domain info) to remove AD. Then run dcpromo a second time and choose
"additional domain in an existing forest."

I would think that you would be better creating the child domain first,
migrating the users using ADMTv2, then deleting the old domain. Thus,
ensuring that you keep your user accounts.
