Adding a nested IF

S

**{Steven}**

I have the following formula on a spreadsheet
=IF((k49-v36)<=g4,g4,k49-v36-x52) This works fairly well under ideal
circumstances but if some figures change, I get a sum here that is larger
than I want. One thing I need to do is keep a percentage on another part of
the sheet as close to 0.0300 as possible, without going below that amount. I
want to put something in this formula that says IF(z13>0.0300,g4) otherwise
the existing set up needs to be run. How do I nest this second IF so that it
works? I keep getting an error that says I have too many arguments for this
function.

Thanks In Advance

Hi
it would be helpful if you state what your exact problem ist :)
- does the function return an error
- do you get wrong values and if yes in which cases

Rather than thank those that try to help, Stephen has sent me a private
email as shown below

"Just out of curiosity, why do you insist on misspelling my name. You
have
replied twice to my questions and both times, you have misspelled it. Is
it
a matter of just not paying attention or something else?"

Aren't some people just wonderful.

LOL! This guy is amazing.

"Well, andy has been a great help and so has frank. You, on the other
hand
have been just a little more than no help. I can't say I will miss your
replies. As for thanks, I give them personally, via email. I chatted
with
andy for quite a while on msn the other day."

Should I give his money back )

As you can see this guy is a real class act not only is he rude and
ungrateful he also emailed the others to have his problem solved outside
of the newsgroup and never even bothered to post the solution.

This is the sort of guy that would ring 20 taxi companies and jump in
the first one that arrived and say to hell with the other 19!

Every now and then one of these sort come along.
