Adding A Music File

R

Here is my problem.
I want to add a music file to a presentation that I want to continuously
loop like church announcements with the music continuously playing in the
background while the slides advance automatically and the music continuously
plays.
I can't get all these specifications to work at the same time. When I add
one the other does not work.

I can do this BUT when the presentation starts over to be continuous, the
MUSIC abruptly STOPS and starts at the beginning instead of continuously
playing in a loop like the slides...

Hi "regztfen,

Have you done this:
On slide #1 right click the sound icon | In the drop-down menu click EDIT
SOUND OBJECT (SPEAKER ICON) | Check LOOP UNTIL STOPPED | OK.

Good Luck.

Yes, It is checked. The problem is that when the presentation loops to slide
one each time, the song starts all over again. I use MediaShout most of the
time and this is a simple project in MS. This is one reason I never use
PowerPoint. Too Complicated.

Try the technique developed by Glenna Shaw and documented here:

It makes it much easier!

What about this one, "regztfen":

Click thumbnail #1 | click SLIDESHOW | CUSTOM ANIMATION | if necessary click
on name of sound file | click down-arrow to right of the name | EFFECT
OPTIONS | PLAY SOUND | STOP PLAYING | select "AFTER" and type 999 for the
number of slides | TIMING | REPEAT | type 1000 | OK.

Good Luck.

I tried this but must be leaving out something because when it starts over,
the music stops on the second round.

Hi "regztfen",

If you send me your E-Mail address, I'll send you a sure-fire method that I
use and which I feel will work for you. ( It's a bit lengthy to post here
on the NG.)
