Suzanne thank you so much. I tried using your alternative in a form, the only way the barcode appeared is when I unlocked the form. I was wondering if there is a way for the barcode to appear without locking the form

You can insert a barcode by hand
1. Type BARCODE \u "00000-0000" (where 00000-0000 is the ZIP code in th
address)
2. Select the text you just typed and press Ctrl+F9, then F9
Alternatively, you can bookmark each ZIP code and use the bookmark name i
the BARCODE field. The result will be
{ BARCODE "Bookmark" \b \u
For more, see Word's Help under "Field codes: Barcode field.
