Hi there, been awhile since I had a problem. Anyways, just recently, I
noticed that suddenly a lot of my programs were disappearing from the
add/removes program. Now, I just found out that I can't even uninstall some.
I'm beginning to get worried that there's a virus, because there's this file
that never goes away, but can anyone help me?

Uninstalling a Application Through The Registry :-
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Start -> Run -> Regedit <-- Enter
Navigate to --->

<--- HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\Uninstall

Look For The Program You Want To Uninstall .. They Are Arranged
Alphabetically

Once You Find Parent Key, Inside It, You'll find (Right Pane) an
"UninstallString". The Data In This Value Can be Used To Remove The
Program

Double-click UninstallString And Copy The Data Inside It [Ctrl + C]

Now,
Start -> Run ->Paste The Data [Ctrl> + V] <-- Enter

Now , Follow The Prompts

Umm, I went to the exact path you told me, but not even a quarter of the
programs that are on my computer are there. There's a few with a bunch of
numbers and letters, about 5 names of the programs I can recognize, then some
install shield stuff. I think there may be a virus on my computer, what do
you think?

*What* "file that never goes away"?

Sorry I wasn't very specific. I downloaded a file, a .RAR file to be
specific, and when I try to delete it, it goes away fine. Then (I think it's
the next time I open the folder) the file is still there. I downloaded McAfee
security center and tried to delete it with that with 10 passes, but it still
wouldn't go away.

Maybe it'll delete in Safe Mode.

Well, the file aactually deletes, it goes into the recycle bin, I empty it,
everything's fine. Lol I just realized now that it was probably because of
the Download Manager I was using... Anyways, could someone help me with the
add/removes problem?
