Add-Remove Programs issue

I recently removed Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 from my WinXP SP3 computer (I'm
currently running version 9, but the old program hadn't been deleted by
Adobe when it installed the newer one). When the removal was finished, two
"Details" appeared:

Unable to unregister a self registering file 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat
5.0\Reader\ActiveX\pdf.ocx'.
Unable to delete folder 'C:\Program Files\Adobe'.

I can understand the second one, since there still has to be an Adobe folder
for Reader 9. But I don't know what the first is about. The only folder
under Adobe in Program Files is Reader 9.

I'd be grateful if someone could explain what this is about and whether I
should be doing anything.

Thanks much!

Unless you first uninstalled version 5 before installing version 9 (which is
the cleanest way to do such a big upgrade in versions), it may have been
left over, (since version 5 was never uninstalled first), and so it probably
isn't anything to really worry about.

Thank you, Bill! I didn't uninstall it until well after the new version was
installed. Glad to know I don't have to do anything.

Thank you! If it's not going to cause problems sitting there, I'll just
leave it...
