add/remove programs disabled?

I have a teminal server that got infected with several pieces of spyware.
I've removed them by using Ad-Aware 2007, Spybot Search & Destroy v1.5,
Yahoo! Anti-spy, Symatnec Antivirus Corp Edition v10.1.5001 and scanning with
TrendMicro's Housecall.

After cleaning it up, I've having a problem with *some* entries in Control
Panel's Add/Remove programs. For some of them, the change/remove buttons are
disabled. Others, mostly the above which were installed to clean up the
infection, are OK. Tried doing a repair install of IE6. Didn't help. Checked
several registry entries (CLSID), but they were OK. Can anyone offer any
suggestions as to what to do now?

Thanks!

With a server I really recommend that a clean install of the OS be done and
steps be taken to prevent such issues again before the TS ever goes back
online. With rootkits and the other junk out there it is next to impossible
to reliably clean a computer in my opinion which means the OS can not be
trusted to be secure or reliably functional.

Having said that and you do not for whatever reason to try a clean install
you may need to try brute force methods to remove unwanted software which
involves deleting as many files related to the program as you can find and
registry entries [try Googling Windows manual application removal]. You
could also try using programs like Regseeker and CCleaner that have their
own built in application removal page that may help.
