add/remove program problem

A while back, I removed a program package using Add or Remove Programs in
the Control Panel. Everything appeared to function correctly. Recently, I
was traversing Add/Remove Program and noticed that the program is still
listed (it probably always has been and I just didn't notice it). When I
look in the Program folder, the folder is empty except for one small file.
Everything else was removed. The program does not appear in the All Program
list or anywhere else. How can I remove the entry from the Add or Remove
Programs list. Thanks for your help.

hi,
that depends so much how your programm installationhas been done. BUt more
generally speaking, all imnstallation prgram folfer and files a tagged by the
msi service suring installation. When tha add/remove program gets called, the
msi is looking for all files and folder tagged by the installation ands
remove them.

Now if a folder is manually created or file added manually after
installation , below installation folder, then it will not be able to remove
them.

Could it be your case ?
