Add/Remove Program HUGE THING?

I was checking my add or remove programs to see what I hadn't been using for
a while. After programs, there is a huge black box that covers the add/remove
programs screen. As I scroll down, inside that black box, there is a white
box. As I continue to scroll down, inside each box is a new differently
colored box (if you need pictures of it, I have them). Does anyone know what
it is or how to remove it?

not sure what you
are seeing.

however, you can
also add/remove programs
via safemode.

this might be a safer alternative
for you, since it seems that something
appears to be questionable.

if safemode reflects a similar problem
then reboot back into normal mode and
use each of the following at these links:

the above are manual steps that you
can take at this time that would help
stabilize your system.

Here is an article that should help you to solve the problem.
http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com/forum/windows-xp/23119-black-space-add-remove-programs.html

If you are unsure on how to fix this then you may email me the info for the
Uninstall keys. Simple open a command prompt and type the following:

reg export "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall"
"%userprofile%\desktop\HKLM.TXT"

Note: The above command is **one line** and may wrap.

Now there should be a file called HKLM.TXT on your desktop. If you could
attach that file to an email and mail me at (e-mail address removed).
