Add printer failure

A

Andy

Currently trying to connect a network printer as soon as
use the add button comes up with an error message
saying "operation could not be completed". Other machines
can connect to it. Tried browsing the print server
through the network and selecting it and selecting
connect in this instance it complains about ntprint.dll.
Tried deleting ntprint.dll and reinstalling still same
problems. Anybody any ideas?????

Before anybody asks it is not the printer driver you
can't even get as far as the wizard.

One cause of the failure could be that the Print Spooler service is not
started for some reason. To see if the service is started, right click on
My Computer and choose Manage. On the left pane, choose services and
applications, then Services. Look at the Print Spooler service on the right
pane. The status should be Started. If it's not, try right-clicking and
choosing Start.
