Add preview to design template pane

I've downloaded several design templates for PowerPoint XP (2002), but only
Microsoft's default ones show up in my task pane as "Available For Use." I
saved the new ones in the same location as the others, and all are the same
file type. I've used the new ones in test presentations several times each,
but they still aren't showing up as available for use. If I browse for them
to apply them, they'll show up as "Recently Used," but I'd really prefer not
to have to browse for them. Any help?

Your Hi Steph

There are two locations for saved templates. Templates NOT supplied with
PowerPoint should go in DRIVE LETTER\Documents and Settings\Your
Name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates (or the equivalent in Vista). When
you save as *.pot this should be the default.
