Add more text boxes in slide/title masters

There are 2 default text boxes in slide/tile masters. How can I add extra
test boxes in the masters and which can be edited in the normal view?

I tried to add extra text box in the masters, but it cannot be edited in the
normal view.

This is possible in PPT 2007, but not in prior versions.
