Add-In

Hi

I am using Word XP. I have many (child) templates, based
on one (parent) template. I am trying to set the template
add-ins to link the styles to the parent template. The
parent template holds 3 styles and a custom toolbar.

In some child templates it will show the styles, the
custom toolbar and will happily allow me to "automatically
update document styles" from the parent.

Other child templates will show the custom toolbar and
styles but not alow me link (it will let me tick the
update styles box but forget I have done it)

Other child templates will only show the custom toolbar, I
have to copy the styles using the organiser.

Is this a recognised bug or am I missing some vital tip!?!

I look forward to someone saving my sanity - thanks very

Sounds dangerous. Always base new templates on blank, and 'manually'
copy the styles over or use macros to set them in each template.
