Add-in Could not be installed or loaded

About a month ago I downloaded some SPAM UTILITY BLOCKER and it caused so
many problems, I uninstalled it. But I can not get rid of two error messages
that come up every time I load MS Outlook.

My anti-virus and security center vendor is McAfee, FYI. I am using MS
Office Small Business with XP Professional and SP2.

The messages are similar to this.
1) MSOutlook: The add-in "C\Programs\Spam Blocker 1\bin....\SBOLExt.dll"
could not be installed or loaded . The problem may be resolved by using
detect & repair.

2) The add-in C\Program Files\Spam Blocker
Utility\Bin\4.7.1.0\Redemption.d...could not be installed or loaded. The
problem may be resolved by using detect & repair from the help menu.

I have run detect and repair 2 times since this started and also uninstalled
and installed MS Office Small Business. I have tried to "manage my add-ins"
and I can not get the messages to stop.

You can try to stop these from loading in the Addin or Com Manager. Tools,
Options, Other, Advanced, Addin mgr or Com Mgr, uncheck them. Also check your
startup folder in the Start, programs list and remove any shortcut. Msconfig
startup tab might help, too.

If Mary's suggestion doesn't work, with Outlook closed, try deleting the
file extend.dat located in the (hidden) folder %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook,
then restart Outlook. If that doesn't work, use the registry editor to
remove the reference to the file.

Brian, I was able to solve the problem by un checking a spam blocker and
redemption add-in. What is the redemption add-in?

Thanks.

Redemption is a programming library that allows the writing of Outlook
add-ins that do not trigger the Object Model Guard security messages (i.e.,
"An application is trying to access Outlook").
