Save it as an image file jpg or png, and then insert it.

That's the problem. It will only let me save it as a .htm or .html when I go
to File > Save As.

Right click on your yahoo map, and select save picture as and select either
..GIF or .BMP give it a name other than mapimage and a location where to save
it.

Google Maps is like this too. There's probably some arcane way around the
problem but instead, try this:

Get the thing as big as you can on screen
Press the PrintScreen key on your keyboard
Switch to an image editing program (even MS Paint will do in a pinch)
Choose Edit, Paste
Save as a PNG or BMP

Now insert the newly saved file into PPT via Insert, Picture, From File

FYI Yahoo and MapQuest maps are a little different than Google Maps. They
allow you a right-click and save picture as and, giving you a .GIF or .BMP
option (nothing to add to the FAQ) (LOL)

Thanks ... it just happened that I'd been googlemapping and run into this
problem. If you have a hammer in your hand, that's what you solve the problem
