I have now got to the stage of adding windows 2003 servers to my 2000 domain
so therefore i need to run ad prep, having not run this before is there any
issues i need to consider. all my servers are 2000 SP4 except 1 which is SP3

Are you sure you need to run AD Prep? My understanding was that this was
only necessary if you are installing Exchange 2003 and/or a 2003 DC.... I
had understood that adding other Wk03 member did not require and AD
changes...

Garry,

Several things to consider. And I wish that I had the link readily
available right now!

Will look for it and post once I have it - which will be in several hours!
Sorry for the tease.

If you have Exchange 2000 then you need to worry about the mangled
attributes problem. Do a search on that in the MS web site. You will also
need to apply a MA Patch or two ( which you can get for free from MS-PSS if
I recall correctly ). Once all of this has been done then you need to Extend
the Schema ( by doing the adprep /forestprep ). There should be ample
'information' about this on the MS Web Site.

Sorry that I can not give you more details - or links! Those will follow!
