Hello all,
We recently had one of our dc's die, we had to bring it
back online using a different hostname, all is working
well here, when i use netiq's ad check though, i see
several replication errors involving the old dc, our
primary dc is still actively trying to replicate with this
dead server. The old server was blown away from sites and
services, dns, and the computer account was deleted as
well.I looked around through adsiedit and see nothing that
refers to the dead server.I started to run ntdsutil and
came upon the metadata cleanup, when i try to connect to
the dead server of course it fails, My question would be
how do i clean this up? I don't want to connect to one of
my dc's and accidently blow it away.
