Steffo,

Generally a link for Ad-Aware updates is not provided.
It is normative, and preferred, and usually successful to update thru the
interface.
Are you having Problems updating?

?:)

Steffo,

The direct link would be:
http://download.lavasoft.com/updates/defs.zip

You would than need to unzip the file [defs.ref] and place in the Ad-Aware
Dirctory,
usually:
C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal

You will be asked to overwrite the current file with that name.

Thank you Tim.
I've d/l manually in the proper folder and it works fine but I'm still
getting the authenticity check warning as it happened with the past defs.
I'd like to uninstall that Beta program but it doesn't show up in the
Add/Remove programs.
I'm going to try to do it manually deleting the file AAWV.dll which is in
the Ad Aware's plugins folder with the VX cleaner's files: do you think I'm
on the right track?
Cheers,
Steffo

Seffo,

No Idea!!!
I don't use the authenticity check. While I aware of its existence I have
never used it, don't know how it's installed, or how to uninstall it.

You might try clicking on the Add Ons button on the left side of the main
screen, pick tools or extentions and see if it is there. If so, right click
on it and see if there are options.

Anybody Else in the group Know ???

Sorry,
?:-(

No man, check carefully:

I did. The 'definition update' link from lavasoft.com's main
page went to download.lavasoft..., and, at the time, gave me yet
another copy of the 9/19/06 defs.
the new update is SE1R125 dated Oct 5, 2006.

Which finally came down via autoupdate (06:00 MDT, 10/6/06).

R

Robin

for me it still will not come in on 3 computers
it says: the downloaded definitions file could not be read, please update
again
and it stays 9/19/06
I have this problem on 3 computers and 2 client computers at a different
location using a totally different broadband service

Robin

also i downloaded the defintion from the website and it says "9/19/06"
insided the zip file. I put it into the Ad-aware folder and it still says
9/19/06 and is asking for an update but will not update
so where is the one that says 10/6?

FYI

A direct download of the Defs.zip at 10:20am Oct 6th 2006,
yielded an internal file, defs.ref, dated 10:09 Oct 4th 2006.
