Activities vs Journal - Which is Better?

When you select the Journal in Outlook 2003 you are warned that the activities tab is a "better" tab to track information. However, it seems that the Journal tab might do a better job tracking e-mails? So the question is what do you think is better - Journals, Activities or both?

I simply want to track my received e-mails that I place in folders in Outlook by Contact name. A Contact may have more than one e-mail. Any suggestions would be wonderful

Thanks!

Activities is much better for this. Using journal for this functionality
requires you to create a journal item for each tracked email message.
