I use Outlook 2003 with cached Exchange Server mode and am generally happy
with the upgrade. However, since the upgrade, I have noticed that
synchronization with my handheld using ActiveSync is very disappointing
compared to how it worked in Outlook XP.
Messages I have read and deleted still show up as unread on my handheld.
Messages caught by the spam filter and moved to the Junk Email Folder in
Outlook still show up in my inbox on the handheld. I have deleted and
re-created my OST file. The only way to get a proper sync is to remove my
handheld from it's base, restart Outlook, and then reconnect my handheld.
In Outlook 2002, Synchronization was seamless.
I am using ActiveSync 3.7.1 with a Viewsonic V37 running Pocket PC 2002. Is
there a workaround for this issue or is there a fix in the works? Is
Microsoft aware of the issue? I can't imagine they wouldn't be with all the
gadget geeks that work there.
