Active Directory

Hello

My Windows Server 2000 is the only DC on the network. It
is also configured as DNS and DHCP server. If I try to
open Active Directory Users and Computers or Active
Directory Domains and Trusts, I receive the following
message:

"Naming Information cannot be located because:
Library not registered.
Contact your system administrator to verify that your
domain is properly configured and is currently online."

I looked at KB http://support.microsoft.com/?id=323542
but this did not resolve my problem as the error message
I am receiving refers to "Library not registered".

Please help.

Gary

Hello Dale

No, they are not as far as my search is concerned.

If I would need to add these keys to the Registry, how
can I do it. Sorry I am asking this because I am not as
good as you might think in the computer.

Thanks a lot.

Gary

Hello,

Sorry for the delay in responding, I have been out of the office during the
holidays.

The easiest way to restore these keys/values would be to export them from a
working machine (if one is available) and import them into the failing
machine. Failing that, you could paste the entries in a reg file and run
it.

As always, test this beforehand. Perhaps do a test with a test key and
values that you create yourself first to be sure that you understand the
process.
