Active Directory Installation and Partitioning

What is the recommended way to set up AD ?
The server is RAID1, partitioned it in half. I heard it is recommended to
set up on separate drives.
So I can install AD Database in second partition and Logs ? And what about
SYSVOL ?

Thank you,

Eimis

Eimis,

If your server is going to be very busy, it's recommended that your Database
and Logs are on seperate disks. In the case of a RAID, this means different
RAID arrays. Seperate partitions do not count as seperate disks. Sysvol can
go whereever.

If the server is not going ot be that busy (by Busy, I mean things like
password changes, new accounts, object changes, etc), putting everything on
one disk is fine.
