Active Directory Authentication

I am working with a domain called ACC. In the ACC domain, we had two
domain controllers. One was failing so we got rid of it and set up an
new DC. AD replicated with no issues (at least none that are
apparent). We use mandatory roaming profiles for the users. Whenever a
user logs on, they pull the profile from the logon server. However,
all the users appear to authenticate and pull the profile only from
the existing DC, not from the new one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction so that authentication can
be distributed between the servers instead of all on one?

Thanks!

The dc's are located through DNS. You will get a list of
DC's from DNS.
For testing purposes you might stop the netlogon service
on the more heavily dutied server and see if the client
will not authenticate to your new server.
