Active Directory and IP Address

I am looking at moving an Exchange server that is wide
open to the internet behind a firewall on a local lan. I
discovered that the exchange server is also the AD first
and only domain controller. This is a single site. What
will changing the IP address do to AD, the schema, GAL,
DNS and other services?

There are three services that you will have to worry
about. DNS, DHCP (if used) and WINS (if used). They will
all work just fine with a new IP, but your clients and
servers (most importantly is the AD server itself) will
need reconfigured to point to the new IP address. If you
have just one site, AD shouldn't care as long as it can
still get to the DNS server.

PS I'd highly recommend recommend bringing up a secondary
DC, even if its on a junky desktop.
