Active Desktop Error message On Startup

C

Cliff

I have WindowsXP Pro with SP2 and IE6, lately I have been getting a message
on startup that tells me the Active Desktop has been shut down due to an
error, I have not activated Active Desktop, I go into desktop properties and
put my normal wallpaper on and everything is ok but it is annoying that on
every startup I get this message, I presume it is something to do with IE, I
frequently scan for viruses and malware using AdAware and Spybot with
McAffee Viruscan and Zone Alarm so I doubt it is that, any ideas?

Cheers
Cliff

Toggle the active desktop on and off and on and off, then restart.

To enable the Active Desktop, right-click an empty area on the desktop, point to Active Desktop, and then click View As Web Page to
add a check mark.

To disable the Active Desktop, right-click an empty area on the desktop, point to Active Desktop, and then click View As Web Page to
clear the check mark.
