Active content alert

I've made a very simple webpage for myself of links that I use often for
research. Its a very straightforward html file that just basically consists
of a list of different links that I use often. It has a title and some
colors for the background and links, but otherwise it is just a list. For
some reason, whenever I access this file through internet explorer I get that
little bar at the top of the webpage that tells me that in order to protect
my security, "internet explorer has restricted ths file from showing active
content that could access your computer." I'm just wondering if anyone knows
why I might be getting this message. There is no "active content" in the
html file as far as I know. The only thing that occurs to me is that
internet explorer is accessing this file from on my computer rather than over
the internet. I don't know why this would matter, but its the only thing I
can think of. Any ideas would be welcome.

Alan--thank you for your input. I realize that I could disable the prompt if
I wanted to, but I am still curious about why I get such a promt with a
straightforward html file with no "active content." Would this still happen
if I put this website up on the internet and accessed it from there rather
than from my own computer? I am more interested in understanding why this
happens than in learning of some specific solution. Thanks!
