account configured to prevent logon ?!?!

This is repost. Sorry but noone answered and this message seems to be
disappeared ? Or something with my settings is not ok. However here it is
again:
Hi,
I've been receiving message "Your account is configured to prevent you from
using computer. Please try another computer." in a message box at logon try.
I'm with Win2k Pro sp4 with all patches applied. I used to logon
successfully after several restarts! I have local login right for sure.
Where is this misterious setting, which doesn't allow me to logon from time
to time? If I add myself in admin group every login try is passed without
problem.
In security log there is Event ID = 533 with message
Logon Failure:

Reason: User not allowed to logon at this computer.

User Name: <MyUser>

Domain: <MyLocalPc>

Logon Type: 2

Logon Process: User32

Authentication Package: Negotiate

Workstation Name: <MyLocalPc>

What is going on?

That is an unusual message, however I would check Local Security Policy for
the user right assingnment logon locally to see it the everyone or users
group is present. Also any entries in deny logon locally will override
settings in allow logon. If this is a domain computer check the "effective"
settings. --- Steve

Stoil,

I am not sure, but try this:

ADUC=> Users => your_user_account => Account Tab => "Log
On To" button...

See if anything is defined here. If so, try the "Any
Computer" radio button, or add in your workstation.

Hope this helps..

Sunshine
