Accessibility for left-handed people

Is there any way of telling windows to move the scroll-bars to the left? I am
left handed and like having the mouse in my left hand. It is easy with
applications like Winblinds to move the max/min/close buttons to the left of
the frame and it is easy to load lefty mouse pointers (mirror of the right
ones), but the scroll bars on the right are annoying. The only way to move
them seems to be to change the langauge to be Arabic but this is not ideal!
The problem is particuarly bad when using a tablet PC because your hand
covers the screen. Please can we have an option in the accessibility or
somewhere which will move the scrollbar to the left? It would also be nice to
have the other options integrated into the OS without having to buy third
party tools to achieve this effect.

No. If you read the archives in the Tablet PC newsgroup you'll find out
why. This has been hashed out many times there over the 3+ years since
the Tablet was released.

I understand that you want a "no surprises" view of the OS for all users but
everything else about XP can be re-skinned very easily. I can make it look
like OSX or KDE or anything else I want. I can put the max/min/close buttons
anywhere that takes my fancy - they don't even have to be together. The only
thing I can't move is the scroll bar. The fact that I can move it with a
language change shows that it is technically possible. In the tradition of
skinning, I would like to make the GUI of Windows work better for me and the
scroll bars are just on the wrong side. My computer is only used by me but
even if it wasn't the theme could easily be associated with a specific user.

Please reconsider making it possible even if it is only via a registry hack.

Thanks very much.

Please consider reading the existing discussions, which explain why it
hasn't been done despite the availability of options for languages like
Hebrew & Arabic, and the fact that everyone working on it *really*
wishes it was easier to do. Maybe in Vista...

And the registry is not a magic wand.
