Access won't minimise

I created a button on the menu of a program I created and attached the
following code to it:

DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdAppMinimize

It does not work nor will it work if I create a macro and attach it to that
button nor will it minimize if you click on the icon on the task bar.

Can anyone suggest something that will fix it. It seems to work OK in other
applications I have created.
