Access with Vista

I have noticed that a Data Base designed in Access 2003 (Windows XP), and
then executed under Windows Vista, seems to take ages for any reports to be
generated.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why this occurs?

Are we talking about the save version of ms-access on the vista machine, or
different?

(if different, then refer to my response to your other post).

If it is same, then read on....

I have not seen others post that this is known problem, and it runs fine for
me. However, there are a good number of things to check:

Any virus software on the machine?

Is the printer a network printer, or local printer (perhaps the printer is
not available, or the network access is slow).

Is there any table links to other back end databases that may not be on the
new machine?

A good list of things to check is here:

So, work your way throught the above list...

There are several Vista specific items at the Performance FAQ that
Albert mentions.
