Access versions running under XP OS

Can anyone tell me if you can run Access 97 under XP
professional OS? Also, can Access 97 and Access 2000 run
on the same machine without confilct? I have a client
that needs to use both on their new XP machine.

Yes to both

However, one of the problems you will have when running two versions
is opening the correct version of MS Access for each MDB. When you
double click on an MDB it will open the default (or last used) version
of Access which is not always what you want.

You may like to try this shareware utility:

ACCVER - Allows you to work with
multiple versions of MS Access databases.
Detects the version of Access used to create
your MDB, MDE or MDA files and either reports
the version number or starts the appropriate
version of MS Access.
An additional option allows you to compact
the database from a right-click menu item.
