Hi, I'm using Terminal Services and the Remote Desktop Client (Mac) to
administer a Windows 2000 Server installation.
The connection and performance is very good. The only problem is that I
can't seem to interactively control any of the services. For remote
administration this is quite important, since it means that I can't access the
virus scanning software, backup software etc - which all run as services.
I understand that there may be some security limitations with acessing
"desktop interactive" services - are these blocked by TS? However, the
applications I am trying to work with are actually correctly written client/
server apps and I understand that these should work.
Does anybody have any experience or insight into this problem? Its been
very difficult trying to google anything since I am search ing for services on
a product called "terminal services".
Thanks in advance for any help,
James
