access to administrator functions

I am unable to open certain internet sites, namely HP, certain Symantec, and
some Acrobat Reader PDF files. I get a message window telling me these sites
are disabled and that I need to see that Administrator to turn them on. I am
the administrator and I am unable to change these files or parts of the
programs from inactive to active. I believe most of this all started when I
installed the SP2 to this computer. I know I am not the only one having
these problems, is there anyone out there that has had similar problems and
what you did to cottect the situation. I am not a computer expert, so please
respond in plain English. Please help

Start by clearing the IE cache and see if that resolves it. Open Internet
Explorer, go to Tools, select Internet Options, on the General tab click
Delete Cookies, Delete Files and accept the option to delete all offline
content and Clear History.

In addition to the above, if you are blocking cookies try accepting them.
In IE< go to Tools, select Internet Options, go to the Privacy tab, click
advanced and set cookies to accept and see if you can get in. Note, some
firewalls have their own cookie blocking features and might override those
settings so if you have a firewall, you might want to disable it when trying
to access these sites.
